The troop will be headed back to Governor Bebb Preserve again to continue what has almost become a tradition of visiting the park during February for orienteering. It is typically used as a first campout for new scouts, but the Webel0s won’t have crossed over yet at this point, although they will be invited to come.
The trip will take place from Friday, February 1 until Sunday, February 3. This year we will be staying the the cabin, it offers electricity and a small kitchen (no heat). Please be aware that this is not like the cabin we stayed at for the electric, it will not have mattresses on the beds, rather it is just a raised (triple stacked bunk) made of wood; please bring a ground pad. Because there is no heating (there is a fireplace, but the cabin is poorly insulated so it doesn’t help much) the cabin will be almost as cold as it is outside, pack as you would if we were staying in tents.
